Dodge Ram Fan Clutch Nut Size. Anyone know the thread size and pitch for the fan clutch nut? I just want to know the size bolts to put in the water pump pulley to keep it still while taking the fan clutch off? Or are there any other tricks or special. On the hemi, the threads are backwards, so you would turn the nut clockwise. Need to pull the fan/clutch assembly and wondering if anyone knows the size of an open ended wrench that ill need. I tried all the other methods first and mine just would not budge i had to use a. I have a 2016 ram 1500 5.7l hemi, i need to remove the clutch fan to replace the fan, i have read so many mixed post about which way the 36mm nut loosens. My biggest wrench is a 1 5/16 and it's still too small. Simply hold the pulley still with a tool by inserting something into 2 of the 4 holes and that holds the pulley still. The little 4.7 has standard threads. Anybody know the size of the nut? Also what size nut is.
